Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) und Allianz Group together with Curo-Health are implementing Vaulue Based Care in India.
We are measuring hospital outcomes produced and make results available to Patients. Hence enable Patients to take health in their onw hands, have eye level conversations with physicians and access to second opinions and hence become less dependent on shady referrals which can drive health care cost significantly.
Additionally patients are able to pay health care bills via their eWallet and benefit from discounts and have access to emergency loans and doctor on call services.
Hospitals enter with Value Based Care a path of continuous improvement, have access to quality circles and scientific collaborations, expand their catchment area, build confidence towards customers, retain talents and connect to patients post discharge. VBC has demonstrated to increase quality of care while reducing operating costs. This leads to a competitive advantage in the market place.
Value Based Care has the potential to redefine healthcare delivery in India: by empowering patients to take health in their own hands and enable hospitals to constantly improve quality produced.
Development of a device to assess cytology samples through artificial intelligence, for rapid on site cytology results. This device could increase diagnostic yield of bronchoscopy, reduce lung cancer diagnosis time and avoid repeated invasive procedures.
Bronchoscopy is a common technique used to obtain tissue diagnosis of lung cancer, which is crucial to plan further treatment. The results are available after 5-7 days when the pathologists have processed the sample. If the results are inadequate then the clinician must repeat bronchoscopy or other invasive tests are performed which delays the time-to-treatment. Training of a medical doctor in assessing pathological samples is a limiting factor for widespread and routine use of this technique. Hence an automated process using AI allows to assess the samples during the bronchoscopy process.
